How To Lock Folder in Windows 7 Step by Step.

In office, sharing computer is normal situation. But there some files and documents must be kept confidential. So, do your personal files and documents in the computer is safe? But there is many software that you can download and use.

In my tutorial I will share with you the scripts how to lock folder in windows 7 step by step without software.

1. Go to drive C or any drive you want. Create one folder in drive with any name you want.

2. Open the folder and create one notepad file as below.

3. Copy scripts below start from @ECHO OFF to :End to notepad

if NOT EXIST Private goto MDLOCKER

ren Private "HTG Locker"

attrib +h +s "HTG Locker"

if NOT %pass%== CREATE YOUR PASSWORD HERE goto FAIL

ren "HTG Locker" Private

echo Folder Unlocked successfully

4. Create your own password at 'CREATE YOUR PASSWORD HERE'. For example, the password you was create is 12345.

The scripts is like this if NOT %pass%== 12345 goto FAIL

5. Save as the notepad with name locker.bat. Refer picture below.

6. Go back to the examplefolder you was create before. You will see the file with name locker.bat. Double click on it. The private folder will generated automatically.

7. So. Now put the file and folder that you want to protect into a private folder.

8. To lock and hide the private folder, just double click on file locker.bat. The command prompt will popup like below. Just click 'y' to hide and lock the folder or file.
