Located at Sunway Hotel Seberang Jaya, Penang on January 10, Boon Siew Honda has launched its new adventure scooter ADV 160 to step up the competition in the adventure scooter segment.
Among the main features that come on the Honda ADV 160 is a new engine upgrade with a displacement of 156.9 cc eSP+ producing power up to 15.8 HP and 14.7 Nm, compared to the ADV 150 which is powered by a 149.3 cc engine producing 14.6 HP and 13.9 Nm.
The ADV 160 comes with Honda Selectable Torque Control (HSTC) technology for the best power and grip control. Usually this function can only be seen on motorcycles 250 cc and above.
Although the styling looks similar to the ADV 150, the ADV 160 comes with an all-new body design and slight changes to the chassis.
The seat height is also now lower at 780 mm compared to 795 mm on the ADV 150, The meter also now comes with a full color LED display.
The ADV 160 is also added with a 5V 2.1A USB charger in the console box, and also a 30 liter utility space which is 2 liters more than the ADV 150 under the seat.
Among the major design changes are coversets on the headlight, side, bottom and exhaust guards and the windshield is adjusted higher.
Apart from all the new design additions, the Honda ADV 160 still retains the same headlight set and 14-inch front wheel and 13-inch rear wheel set as the ADV 150.
The ADV 160 is still equipped with an ABS brake system on the front as well as an Idling Stop System (ISS) to maintain fuel efficiency and a Smart Lock System equipped with an alarm.
The price for the Honda ADV 160 starts from RM12,999, and the color options are offered with 2 patterns, namely Mat Charcoal Gray Metallic and Vivacity Red.~careta.my/
